Yes, you can walk south to Wulukou Station from the Main Railway Station. Then take metro line 4 to Dachaishi Station directly.

Hi, I do know this however I wanted to ask if it is possible to take the subway directly from the Xi'an railway station (line 4)..I do know that there are some lines and stops under construction so I wanted to ask if the subway now stops directly at the station as this was planned. The stop should have been operational since 2019. Thank you.

Well, as I know, the metro station inside the railway station will open in 2022. The other stations of metro line 4 operate normally nowadays.
