Can I Travel By Train From Tianjin Railway Station to Tanggu Railway Station

I will be a passenger on the Celebrity Millennium cruise ship and will be spending 3 days in Beijing during the ship's stopover. On the 3rd day, I was planning to take the high-speed from the Beijing South Railway Station back to Tianjin Railway Station which is scheduled to arrive around 14:45.

I was wondering if there is a train scheduled from the Tianjin Station to the Tanggu Station which will get me closer to the ship before I take a taxi from there back to the Tianjin cruise port? Or is it safer and faster o take a taxi all the way from the Tianjin Station back to the Tianjin cruise port to ensure I make it back there before the ship departs at 6:00 PM? If there is one that will get me from Tianjin to Tanggu in time, what is the cost?

The best way is to go from Beijing South to Tanggu directly. There are many rides a day to Tangdu directly from Beijing. No need to get off at Tianjin Station. Except Tanggu, you can use Binhai station as your destination too. It is almost the same distance (or maybe even closer) to the cruise port.
