About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm traveling to Maldives through Shanghai and will need to stop in Shanghai for 17 hours

before my next flight to Maldives depart .
I'm Egyptian and my wife is Syrian holding a canadian travel document and PR Can we use the 24 Hr twov to check out and stay at one of the hotel near the airport ?

You would be able to use the 24h twov in Shanghai. You are advised to contact the Shanghai immigration to inquire that.
