About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we qualify for the 144 Hour twov? Family traveling from Canada -> Hong Kong -> Beijing -> Canada

Hello,

We have booked a family trip to China. We are from the US but leaving from Canada (driving). We live in Seattle but are driving up to Vancouver airport. This is our itinerary:

Canada -> Hong Kong (3.5 days)
Hong Kong -> Beijing (3 days/76 hrs)
Beijing -> Canada

Please advise if we need to get a Visa or if we qualify for the 144 Free Transit. And if we do qualify, what do we need to bring?

Thank you, Joann

You qualify for 144 hours transit without visa in Beijing (don't refer to "Free Transit Visa" which doesn't exist and could lead to confusion) as long as those are your only stops. For example, if your Beijing to Canada flight stops in Hong Kong, even for one minute, you will not qualify. You should bring your passport and printed copies of your confirmed flights and hotel bookings.
