About:Rooster's Personality and Characteristics

Hi I’m a female Rooster (water) 1993 and I met someone who is a Male Snake (earth) 1989.

Is this a good compatibility or does the elements on the elements chart (my metal and water and his fire and earth) have too much overcoming interactions?

So I’m curious why does it show that fire needs to over come metal and earth needs to overcome water in the Chinese Zodiac element graph?? Does that mean stuggles and how can it be improved or overcomed?
