About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Danish Traveller

Hello.

I'm a Traveller from Denmark going from either Japan or Korea to Shanghai and then from Shanghai to Los Angeles. I have a friend in Shanghai and would like to visit him a couple of days if possible. Would I apply for the 72 hour or 144 hour if possible?
