Getting off at every stations

Hi

I intend to travel from Hong Kong to Beijing. I know there are a number of stations in between. Can I get off at every stations; stay a night and get back to the train the next day? I like to see places and dropping off the stations in between is an opportunity for me to do that. Thanks

This would not work. First, if you will take the overnight sleeper one from HK to Beijing, you are not allowed to get off at any stop along the way until you reach Beijing. Second, if you take the high speed ride, you can get off at any stop along its way, but once you get off, the ticket will be useless. You cannot use it to back to any other trains to continue the trip. You need to buy new tickets. So you will loss the money of unused part of trip.
