Invitation letter from Chinese government for the R visa

Hi I am already "A level " and foreign expert in China. I would like for the next year to change to R as I might come only few months in china. what kind of invitation letter I need to get from Chinese government or my chinese institution?

Should my chinese employer ask for me ? and to who ? thank you for your help ?

You would need the duly authorized invitation letter, and your company could get the invitation for you from any of these units: Municipal Foreign Affair Office, Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Foreign Economic Relations & Trade Commission, International Trade Promotion Commission or Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau.
