About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Transit from China, to Philippines, back to China, then home to USA.

So my situation might be a little more complicated. I’m in Guangzhou right now on a work visa. My contract is through the end of April, but my visa expires at the end of this month. I am told I am given a one month grace period to leave China. I have already purchased my flights back home for mid April, the route being Shenzhen, Beijing, Seattle. I am thinking to go to Philippines for a couple weeks at the beginning of April before my flight back home. When I come back to China to get all my stuff and fly back home, will I be eligible for the 72 hour free transit with flying Shenzhen to Beijing? Or a 24 hour one? What can you recommend?

Two stops (Shenzhen and Beijing) limit you to 24 hours transit without visa in China.
