About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

If you travel from UK to Hong-Kong to Beijing back to Hong-Kong and then UK, do you qualify for 144

You need a visa. You are flying Hong Kong-Beijing-Hong Kong, you're not in transit at Beijing, and therefore 144 hours transit without visa obviously doesn't apply.
