About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

start time for 72 hours visa free entry

Has anyone found a Chinese government website which confirms the information stated in paragraph (1) above?
"1. ...Based on the latest information, the 72 hours starts from 00:00 the day following the entry date in almost all the airports, except Beijing Airport. For example, if an air passenger arrives in Guangzhou at 08:00 on June 2nd, then the latest time for him to leave is 23:59 on June 5."
Thanks in advance.

The info is in TIMATIC which is the up to date source for Visa requirements. The information on this page is correct about the start time. Beijing is now 144 hours so you want to look at that page for Beijing

It is a strict 72 hours in Guilin (KWL) and Harbin (HRB).
You can easily read it for yourself in Timatic: "Changsha (CSX), Chongqing (CKG), Guangzhou (CAN) or Xi'an (XIY) with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 72 hours, starting from 00:01 on the day following the day of entry ... Guilin (KWL) or Harbin (HRB) with a confirmed onward
ticket for a flight to a third country within 72 hours."
All the "144-hour" cities start at 00:01 on the day following the day of entry.
