Refuelling stop in Sanya. Do I need a Transit Visa Australian Resident

I am on an Australian Passport and I am travelling from London to Guanghou but I have a refuelling stop of under 2 hours at Sanya in Hainan Provence. Do I need a transit Visa?

If your final destination is Guangzhou and you already have a visa for Mainland China, you will be considered as having entered Mainland China after immigration clearance in Sanya. Hainan is a part of Mainland China.

I do not have a Mainland visa as I am transiting through Guangzhou to Australia on my return leg.
