About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Travelling in Jiangsu (Nanjing), Shanghai and Zhejiang allowed?

Hi,
If I flew directly into Shanghai Pudong from Manila arriving at 2:05am on the 12th whilst flying out directly to South Korea on the 18th, would I qualify for the 144hr transit without a visa exemption? I would want to travel to Nanjing on the 12th and then from Wuxi to Shanghai on the 18th. I have British nationality. I asked on another travel website and it was suggested that I would have to stay in Shanghai? Is it not allowed to travel to Wuxi or Nanjing without a visa?

You are free to travel around Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu transit region. You just can't travel into a different transit region such as Beijing.

You can, it's no problem, you just can't travel to a different transit zone like Beijing.

Thanks, I know this isn't strictly a visa question but do you think 3 days in Nanjing and 2 nights, 1 day in Wuxi and 1 day travelling back to Pu Dong Airport in Shanghai is too much to do in one go?
