About:Year of the Pig

Golden Year?

I am having a hard time researching this on the internet, because apparently there is mixed opinion out there. Is 2019 the year of the golden pig?

In Korea apparently they are saying it is.
However in China they said it was 2007.

Can anyone help me to understand? I am a pig (1983),and I will be having a son this year (April), so I am hoping to understand the significance.

My granddaughter was born in January 2008 just making it into the year of the golden pig.

Correct 2007 is the golden pig.
