About:Chinese New Year Gift Ideas

Is ginger root a good idea?

I have teas an herbs at home that I can give and I was wondering if it's safe to gift ginger or if ginger falls under the white color category.

There is no problem of the color but it is a little bit strange to gift ginger. Maybe the tea is a better gift.
