About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Traveling. Hi, we are Traveling to Bali but have a 2 hour layover in Shanghai

since its the connecting flight. Would we need to apply for the 24 hour TWOV. And if so, would we have to apply once we land in Shanghai in the airport?

You will simply go through a security check if flying with the same airline.
