About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is this eligible route for 144 hour TWOV. We fly from UK to Shanghai

and board a cruise ship which then sails to it's next port of call which is Tianjin for 2 days and then on to Japan. Can we get off the ship in Tianjin/Beijing to do some tours.
