Can surface mail to New Zealand be tracked and insured?

For example, if my package goes missing, can I be insured for it if it is registered and tracked? If yes, how much would it cost a 3kg package to be registered/tracked by surface mail to new Zealand

It seems there is no tracking information of the surface mail but I'm not very sure about that. It costs about CNY150 to send it to New Zealand.
