Hiking trip from Badaling to Huangyaguan.

I am planning a multiple day hiking trip starting at Badaling and ending at Huangyaguan, it will be a mixture of camping and staying in villages.
I have done my research on most sections of the wall but am struggling to find any information about hiking from Mutianyu to Gubeikou. Many people say it's not possible because it is not connected anymore and some say it is just too dangerous.
So if hiking this section is not a possibility at all, how would one travel from Mutianyu village to Gubeikou?
