I need to write about overstay in the for?

Hello, i overstay before in china and get one year ban now i want to visit again to china, in the visa form i need to write about overstay or not and also about my previous entry permit or not? I am afraid if i write then they will refused, and if i didnt write they will have record in data base? Isnt it? So what i do now?
