About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Getting Home

I'm confused. We'll be traveling from Cambodia to Shanghai, stay in Shanghai for around 57 hours then fly to Hong Kong for 1.5 hour layover, then back home to Boston. Do we need to apply for entry permit?

You don’t need a visa. Enjoy your trip.

Thx Alex, actually let me clarify, I'm going from Boston, to Hong Kong (with an 8 hour layover), then to Viet Nam for a week, then to Cambodia for a couple of days, then to Shanghai for 2 days and then Hong Kong for an hour and a half layover, then Boston. Still no Visa?

If you have a passport from one of the 53 listed countries, you don't need a Chinese visa for Cambodia-Shanghai-Hong Kong because it qualifies for 144 hours transit without visa.
