Can I book a hotel in Guangzhou using the stamped paper from visa office?

Hi,
I applied for change of visa duration and i will get my passport back after about two weeks. However, i want to travel to Guangzhou from Fuzhou but I am not sure if it is possible to book an hotel using the stamped receipt issued to me. The reciept has my picture and personal details. Kindly advise. Thank you.
