About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi there, 24 hour transit visa

I am a vietnamese. I am living in Ottawa, Canada and I am a permanent resident of Canada. I am going to Vietnam and have to wait at Hongkong for 12 hours. Can I apply for 24 hours free transit? Can you help me? Please. Where I can apply my visa to hongkong if I wanna go inside that city? Thanks a lot

You do not require a visa if not leaving the airport's sterile transit area. However, Hong Kong is a separate entity from Mainland China and has it's own immigration rules, so you have to apply for a visa, either directly to HK Immigration by post or via the Chinese embassy, if you want to enter HK. Details are available on HK Immigration Department's website.
