About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Do Malaysian passport holders need a visa when transiting through Shanghai to board cruise ship?

We are Malaysian passport holders arriving in Shanghai to do a cruise which leaves from Shanghai to Russia. We plan to stay less than 24 hours in Shanghai. The ship will return to Shanghai 9 days later and we plan to fly back to Malaysia that very day. Can we use 24-hour transit without visa on the day we fly into Shanghai to board the cruise and then again 9 days later when we finish the cruise in Shanghai to fly back to Malaysia?

Yes, you can enjoy the free transit in Shanghai twice in both ways. No need to worry.
