About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Hello I am flying from Perth to Shanghai departing 31st Jan 2019 from Perth.

I fly via HK. Am I eligible for the 144 hours transit visa?
Also I cannot follow the online form as I cannot work out what visa to apply for?

It depends on your exact route. If you are flying Perth-Hong Kong-Shanghai-Hong Kong then you need a visa.
