About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hrs China visa exempt rule

We will be flying to Shanghai from Vancouver on Mar 1, 2019, stay 1 night hotel in Shanghai, then board Princess cruise and stay 2 more nights in Shanghai before set sail to Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Manila and then arrive Hong Kong. Do we qualify for the 144 twov exempt rule. When we check in at Vancouver airport, do we need any documentation to tell them we are flying to China under the 144 hrs twov exempt rule? We tried email to China visa center and called them without any reply. We don't want to be rejected to fly at the airport.

You qualify for the 144h twov exempt rule in Shanghai, and you need to inform the airlines that you want to use the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
