About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do i need visa for transit in China?

Hi there,

I'm currently planning to travel from Auckland to Colombo on China Southern Airlines on 02 January 2019.

I have the following concerns:
(1) As I'm planning to take a TV with me is it possible to take in with the air line?
(2) Do I have to unload my bags and put them in second flight at Guangzhou Airport or you guys do it for the passenger, so I can collect them from the airport in Colombo?
(3) As I hold a Sri Lankan passport, for the transit at Guangzhou Airport do I need a visitor visa (my transit is less than 24 hours)

Please advise.

Thank you
Dinesh De Silva

Please contact with the airlines to ask if your luggage will be delivered to the final destination directly. If yes, you don’t need to claim it after arrival. You would be able to apply the 24h twov in Guangzhou. In this case, you don't need a visa then.
