About:China Visa on Arrival

VOA not availeble when arriving by plane

I was just refused to fly by China Southern from Phnom Penh to Shenzhen. According to the ground staff, VOA is only possible when arriving over land.. (bus ferry) I have EU passport...

The Shenzhen VOA cannot be applied at the airport, which is not a VOA port in Shenzhen.

This website page is wrong and should be corrected. There is currently no VOA at Shenzhen airport.

The page is indeed wrong. There is a 24-hour stay permit available to transit passengers although that is not applicable to those traveling to HK or Macau by land. The permit is absolutely different from the VOA.
