Can I depart from a station different from that printed on my ticket?

For example, I want to go from Qufu to Luoyang on January 22nd. However, the G1833 is already sold out... except the G1833 starts in Jinan and there are still tickets for the G1833 departing from the Jinan station. If I buy this ticket from Jinan could I then just board the G1833 when it stops in Qufu?

Yes, you can board from Qufu is you hold a ticket from Jinan, the begining station on G1833. However, please kindly notice that you need to collect the paper ticket out in advance before the departure time from Jinan which means 6:43am.
