About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24 hour TWOV. I am an Indian PP holder

transiting through Guangzhou New Baiyun, CAN. Traveling from Delhi to Christchurch . There is a 17 hour wait at the airport. I have an onward boarding pass. Can I get a 24 TWOV at the airport? Or do I have to apply for it at the embassy in Delhi

It's possible for you to get the 24h twov if you come from a qualifying country.

Yes you're fine for the 24h twov and you don't need a visa.

Thanks. So the immigration issues out a slip or a stamp on arrival? I just need to show them an onward boarding card for a flight departing within 24 hrs of my arrival. I hope I got that right.
My previous visit to Shanghai found the authorities efficient but language was a huge barrier. I hope it works for me

There is a simple international to international connection at Guangzhou. You won't have any problems.
