About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Suggest updating the site

My husband is an Egyptian national. We already had flights and accommodation booked, as per info on your website, it indicated he could leave for up to 24 hours. Luckily he went to the Chinese embassy just to confirm. Seems this is no longer an option.

Embassy staff are not known to give capable answers as they are not responsible for immigration enforcement. If you have any doubt you should contact the immigration office at the port of entry instead. Also some port of entry have restrictions (e.g., Urumqi or Xiamen) on visa-free transit which are already listed above.
