Los Angeles to Beijing to Bali

Hello, I fly from Los Angeles to Beijing with a 16 hour layover and then to Bali. I stay in Bali for 10 days and then another layover in Beijing for 20 hours. I would like to plan something for both layovers. Does this plan fit in the free visa transit?

As I know, you are qualified for the visa free transit and can apply for the 24-hour visa exemption when the first time you arrive at Beijing Airport. As for your return trip, visa is also not required if you will leave Beijing Airport to other countries except China and Indonesia.
