changing X2 visa to tourist visa

Hi, Is it possible to get tourist l with complete validity of 90 days/ 3 months and just extend it for another months if i want to stay longer before it expires here in china? I am a X2 holder my visa will expire soon and i want to extend my stay here in china as tourist.

It's possible to do that change at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB. The consular officers will give you proper duration of stay according to your needs. You can have a try.
