change x2 visa to tourist visa in china

hello everyone,
im currently in china holding x2 and my its validity will end by february 2019. Is it possible if i change my student x2 into tourist l to extend my stay here in China and im not planning to study anymore? How many months do you think will be the validity of L type?

It's possible to change your student X into tourist L at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. The consular officers will give you proper duration of stay according to the actual days you need.

thank you randy😊 so it doesnt mean that they will give me 3months or more validity if i applied for tourist L? will they ask for itineraries?

Yes, they would ask the travel itinerary.
