Traveling JFK-HND, HND-PEK, PEK-HND, NRT-JFK

Would I need entry permit for this? I know it isn't a direct flight to beijing since i have a 24-hour layover in HND.

You need a visa. You’re not in transit at PEK and therefore transit without visa does not apply.
