About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Plane change in Hong Kong from Shanghai

Cruising into Shanghai, going directly to PVG. Flying to US but must change planes in Hong Kong is a visa needed if we are not leaving PVG? I'm confused on the flight routes that require entry permit.

You can use the free transit in Shanghai. No need to apply for visa for the trip.
