Good Am . Thank for the swift reply . From US to Philippines -Jan 24 lay over 1.40 minutes in Shanghai Pudong . Feb 21 Going back to US 10 hrs and 40 minutes layover in Shanhai Pudong . I am US citizen and my parents are US immigrants and still using Philippines Passport  which will expired on May 19 2019 .

You can enjoy free transit in Shanghai, but your parents need to apply for transit G type for the trip beforehand.
