As I know, you don't have to make an appointment for that. If you are worried, you can contact the visa office to confirm that.0

It would need four working days if the Chinese embassy can issue your visa. But if it will be transferred to HK immigration department, I’m afraid it needs 4 to 6 weeks for the application process.0
