I came from Canada to HK, the bus to Guangzhou stay around 24hrs. Plan back to Canada direct from BeiYuan airport

But what the info said only allow arrival by plan who allow 24hrs TWOV at Guangzhou. If by bus is not allow, correct

You must get a visa. Land border crossings with HK/Macau consistently refuse to allow persons without visas to travel into Mainland China (including those who may be in transit).
