About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is this possible? Can I move through provinces on this transit visa? Thanks for your help!

Hi I’m looking to enter Shanghai or Beijing apply for 144 hour twov go to the Hunan Province via train visit the Zhangjiajie Mountain Park and then depart China with 144 hours.

Nope sorry. Full tourist (L) visa needs to be approved before you leave in order to leave the region you arrive in. For example, Beijing arrival you can only travel out to Tianjin and Hebei provinces. Shanghai arrival you can only travel out to Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. You cannot cross over to other visa free transit areas.

Plus you also need to be in transit to a third country, you cannot directly return to the country you landed in China from. USA passport can apply for a 10 year multi entry 2-3 months before leaving the USA.
