Do I require a Chinese visa

My husband and I are disembarking a cruise in Shanghai and staying overnight in a hotel before flying home to UK the following day. Do I need to apply for entry permit? Many thanks for your help

If the last country before entering Shanghai is not UK, you are eligible for the free transit in there. No visa will be required.
