Visa needed for 33hour stopover at Shenzhen, SYD - Shenzhen- Beijing - AMS

Hi all,

We are flying from Sydney to SZ to Beijing and then Amsterdam, but have a 33hour stopover. We have to go through customs as we have to re check in our luggage (annoyingly). Does anyone know what entry permit we need and where we can request one? It's not very clear on any of the government sites.
