About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

I will travel from London to Bali. I have 9 hours stay in Guangzhou.

do I need a visa to see the city?

No, you are eligible for 24-hour free visa. If you wish to get out of the airport, you shall apply to the stay permit when you arriving at the airport.

Yes it is .
Did not give me a 24-hour visa because they think the time to board the plane, which should be more than 8 hours. I had 7 .55 minutes .... 😊😂

There is no "24-hour visa". You definitely were granted 24 hours transit without visa, but you were not granted a temporary stay permit to leave the airport.

Some cities have started their own rule that must be at least 8 hour transit to be able to leave the airport. Sometimes they will make exception and allow if you have hotel booking but that is guaranteed. Some officers may do the same if under 12 hours. Sometimes they wont care. Transit without visa and entry permit to leave the airport are independent things. If you want to guarantee you need to book more than 24 hour stop.
