About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

Flying USA to Tianjin w/3hr layover in Guangzhou Baiyuan, 3 night stay Tianjin, fly Tianjin to Tokyo

Because my flight stops in Mainland China for 3 hours (I have no intention of leaving the airport) does that disqualify me for the 144 hr transit without a visa? Also, one of the best flights from Tianjin to Tokyo has a one hour layover in Hong Kong. Thank you for your help.

You need a visa or different flights. Two stops in mainland China limits you to 24 hours transit without visa and disqualifies you from 144 hours.
