About:2026 / 2027 / 2028 Public Holiday Calendar

We're arriving May 1, 2019 and wondering if it's a week long holiday.

Our friends who used to live in China told us to avoid the first week of May because many people will take a week long vacation thus crowds everywhere. Is that still the case?

Well, since several years before, the 7-day long week holiday had become a 3-day holiday. However, it is still suggested to avoid the first three days of May because it will be very crowded in most of China cities and attractions.
