About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I travel outside Shanghai to Qingdao on a 72 hour TWOV

I'm traveling on a Canadian Passport with a 72 hour stopover in Shanghai. I want to use this opportunity to visit a factory in Qingdao. Will I be allowed to go make a day trip to Qingdao from Shanghai?

In Shanghai there's no 72h twov, it's a 144h twov.

But you're not allowed to go to Qingdao.
If you do so, you'll stay illegal in China.
