About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour twov in chendu after 24 hour transit visa for day tour in Beijing

We are flying nyc to Beijing to Islamabad then on return Karachi - Chendu- Beijing- nyc. We would like to see the Great Wall on layover(24 hr twov)on way to Islamabad. On return, could we still get 72 hour free transit in chendu then complete departure flight through Beijing to nyc?

No. On return, you cannot get 72 hour free transit in Chengdu then complete departure flight through Beijing to NYC.

On your return flight you have 2 stops in China so your transit time is limited to 24h.

So if the return is Karachi-chendu-Tokyo-JFK then that’s ok for 72hr visa?

Where does your Karachi to Chengdu flight stop? It must not stop anywhere else in mainland China. The same for Chengdu-Tokyo; it must not stop in mainland China.
