About:Kunming - Lijiang Train

I have questions about the duration in train from Lijiang to Kunming.

(a) Lijiang to Dali takes 2 hours 22 mins, Dali to Kunming takes about 2 hours, Total hours about 5 hours.

But why is it taking long time when taking a direct train from Lijiang to Kunming

(b) Direct Train takes approximately 9 hours

It is because the rides between Kunming and Dali are high speed rides, the direct rides are slow type. So Dali to Kunming part saved your time on the way.

Thank you very much. I will be taking train from Lijiang to Dali(Normal Speed Train), and from Dali to Kunming by high speed train. Are there sharing the same train station in Dali?

yes, they are the same station. There is only one station in Dali. However, it would still be better if you prepare more than 30min between for transfer in case there is any delay.

Thank you very much. What will be the temperature between 7th December to 14th December in Shangri-la & Lijiang? What is best way going from Shangri-la to Tiger Leap Gorge and Lijiang Ancient Town? How much is it cost. Thank you.

In Lijiang, it may be around 0 to 10 degree centigrade and -5 to 5 degree centigrade for Shangri-la. To the Tiger Leap Gorge, you need to use bus. The bus from Shangri-la to Lijiang will pass by the Tiger Leap Gorge. The ticket price would be around CNY45 and CNY63 to Lijiang.
