Transit Visa at Guangzhou Airport

I am travelling to Auckland from New Delhi on 19 th of December via China Southern Airlines. I have a layover of 7hr 15 min in Guangzhou airport. In that time i will not leave the airport premises and will be spending the leisure time over there. I need to enquire that, do i need to apply for a transit g for transiting through Guangzhou Airport?
