About:How to Refund / Cancel a China Train Ticket

Incorrect Passport Number

Hi..
I've typed the wrong passport number when purchasing a ticket online. When I went to the ticket office, they ask me to purchase a new one due to this error. They say I will get a refund but they didn't tell me how I can get the refund. Can you tell me how to make the refunds and how long does it normally take?

First, you need to make sure you cancelled the ticket at station before departure time. If it cancelled successfully, the refund will back to the account paid for this ticket. If you paid by your card, it will back to your card. If you booked via an agent, it will back to the agent's account. So you need to contact them. If you paid in cash at station, it should be refunded in cash as well. The most important is to make sure it was cancelled otherwise there is no refund.
